Well as anyone knows I am a big Halo fan. I even bought the premium Halo 3 with the big ass Master Chief helmet. Trevor and I used to have almost weekly Halo matches at my old apartment. We used to have a custom game that we played on blood gultch. Just sniper rifles, pumas (warthogs) and Sheila (tanks). We would literally hunt each other, and fire off sniper shots from across the board. Many good times were had back then.
So when I found a deal on buy.com to pre-order the collectors edition for only $69.99 I jumped on the opportunity.
I’m blogging this again because the site was down yesterday due to heavy traffic. My good friend Patrick has applied for The Best job in the World. So what are you waiting for help a small town guy achieve his life long dream.
This is a fairly simple process, but not everybody knows how to accomplish it.
1: Put the CD or DVD into the drive
2: Open Disk Utility (Applications -> Utilities)
3: Select the disk, not the media
4: Select File -> New -> Disk Image (It should be the name of the disk you want to make an ISO of)
5: Select CD/DVD master from the “image format” drop down
6: Click save
7: This creates a .cdr extension which is the same as a .iso Just rename the file to .iso and your all done.
Two posts in one day, this one is to test something out, but also talk about the reason I haven’t really been posting much lately. I blame twitter. If you don’t know what twitter is, it’s a microblog. You can post short 140 character thoughts, I find it so much easier to do this then write long blog posts. It’s also very convenient, because there are so many ways to post messages to twitter.
So there it is, my admission of why I have neglected my blog, and another re-assurance that I will find more stuff to talk about here.
So I’m finally writing another post. It’s been a while. I haven’t forgotten about my site, I just haven’t had much time. Between working full time with a part time job, that sometimes gets full time hours, to having a newborn baby I just haven’t found the time to write down my thoughts. So I am going to change that, I promise. So feel free to read up on all my old posts, and get ready for some new ones. Who knows you just might hear about all the awesome projects I’ve been working on when the time is right.
My awesome & crazy friend Patrick Gensel has applied for “The Best Job in the World” and needs your votes. Help him achieve his goal of working for the Queensland Tourism bureau for 6 months. Check out his video submission and rate away.
